EXTERIOR. COUNTRYSIDE. NIGHT.
Champiñongo checks the content of the open briefcase. There is a rolled map, the dossier that one of pilots held before, an letter envelope, a compass, a manila envelope, two small boxes (one with a post-it with a smiley and a text saying “enjoy”), and one metallic cylinder with a charge indicator.
CHAMPIÑONGO (thinks): THE DAMN BASTARDS… THEY SENT ME A STANDARD RETRIEVAL BRIEFCASE… ALMOST STANDARD… NO CLUE ABOUT THE SEALED CYLINDER OR THE MANILA ENVELOPE… AND THE COMPASS… SENDING A COMPASS WAS STUPID. THEY DON’T WORK HERE… WAY TOO MANY MAGNETIC ANOMALIES.
The envelope is handwritten and addressed to Champiñongo.
CHAMPIÑONGO (thinks): THE ENVELOPE… I HATE IT… I RECOGNIZE THE HANDWRITING.
