EXTERIOR. DESERT PLAIN. DAY.

Champiñongo observes a walled city in the distance. A dirt road winds towards it. There is great tower in the city, from which a plume of smoke or vapor emerges.

NARRADOR (says): four days later…

CHAMPIÑONGO (thinks): LAST HOPE.

EXTERIOR. OUTSIDE THE WALLED CITY. DAY.

The dirt road ends in front of a huge metallic door in the middle of the city wall. A smaller door is cut in the right side. Both doors, small and big, are locked. Champiñongo stands in front of them. Above the door, on the top of the wall, a gatekeeper waits.

CHAMPIÑONGO (shouting): OPEN THE GATE!

GATEKEEPER (answers): WHAT FOR?

CHAMPIÑONGO (shouting): BUYING SUPPLIES!

GATEKEEPER (answers): WHAT IS THE PASS-WORD?

CHAMPIÑONGO (thinks): DAMN.
